This rabbit hutch can be moved around your lawn to give your bunnies fresh grass and stop them doing permanent damage by eating one spot down too much. This is a compact design, ideal for urban backyards. The way the enclosed house is elevated of the ground creates extra room in the cage. You will find that your rabbits like to sit under the shelter of their house on hot days, and when it is raining.

Use our list of materials to get as much organised before you start as possible, as this will help you avoid lots of trips into town.

Materials

Tip: When ordering timber, get the longest lengths possible. For example, getting two 5m lengths will result in less wastage (due to off cuts) than getting five 2m lengths. Of course it often depends on what you can fit on your car or trailer.

Tools

You can do most of the work for this rabbit hutch with just a hand saw and a hammer, but to make things easier you should have these tools at hand:

  • Hammer
  • Skill saw that can be set for angled cuts
  • Jigsaw
